Google’s own mobile phone in the pipeline

Google’s own mobile phone in the pipeline

August 6, 2015

It is anticipated that Google will launch a mobile phone early in 2016 that will make it easier for people to access the internet when they are away from their computers. Google services including the search engine, email and interactive maps will be loaded on to the phone.

Mobile phone advertising, which is much more profitable than non-mobile phone advertising, would secure revenue for Google from the service. Telecoms analyst Informa Telecoms & Media, has forecast that the market for mobile advertising will be worth a figure in the region of £5.4bn by 2011.

It is understood that a firm based in Taiwan is designing the phone for Google, although no details have yet been confirmed.

Google has established that there is great demand for its applications on a mobile phone, and the company is working hard to deliver the product.
